99 years ago today, Eugene Debs was arrested for a speech in Ohio protesting WW1. It caused an outcry against the newly created Espionage Act which is still controversial today. Hailing from #terrehaute Indiana, he served his sentence in Woodstock, IL. These are photos of the historic courthouse and jailhouse which are now public spaces and a restaurant where my brother once worked!
